The ouroboros or uroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail. The ouroboros entered Western tradition via ancient Egyptian iconography and the Greek magical tradition. It was adopted as a symbol in Gnosticism and Hermeticism and most notably in alchemy.

Did you know that our Viper Ouroboros pendant is inspired by the Mangshan Pit Viper, a venomous snake native to China? These snakes are known for their bright red and yellow coloration and are often found in mountainous areas. They are also highly venomous and can be very dangerous to humans. However, in Chinese culture, the Viper is often seen as a symbol of power and strength.
