A standard diving suit, also known as a Copper hat, is a type of diving suit formerly used for all deep-water operations, including Marine salvage, military engineering, and other commercial diving operations, as well as similar Naval diving applications

The standard wetsuit consists of a copper diving helmet, air hose, low pressure ventilator, and a tartan garment to offset the buoyancy counterweight.

From the first successful diving helmets produced by Charles and John Deane in the 1820s, to the American MkV model helmets still in production today, the unique appearance of these professional garments has made them a hot spot in the collection world.
